Telemedicine Compliance

Online consultations are conducted in compliance with Resolução CFM nº 2.314/2022, which regulates the practice of telemedicine in Brazil. All consultations occur on secure, encrypted video platforms.

Prescription Policy

Prescriptions are issued only after a live medical consultation, and only when clinically indicated by the physician. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription. The physician evaluates each case individually and prescribes only when medically appropriate and safe. Rio Med Care does not sell, dispense, or deliver any medications. Prescriptions can be filled at any licensed pharmacy in Brazil of your choice.

Geographic Coverage

• Online consultations: available throughout Brazil for adult and pediatric patients.
• In-person consultations: available exclusively at our clinic in Niterói-RJ (WeDoctors, Rua Gavião Peixoto, Icaraí).
• Prescriptions issued by Dr. Luis are valid throughout the Brazilian territory in accordance with CFM regulations.

Limitations of Telemedicine

Online consultations cannot replace physical examination when clinically indicated. The physician may recommend an in-person evaluation, complementary tests, or specialist referral if your condition requires it. Online consultations are not appropriate for severe, life-threatening, or rapidly evolving conditions.
